Most efforts in reproductive medicine have focused on obtaining an embryo of the best possible quality (grade A). However, more times than desired, these wonderful embryos have been transferred into pathological uteri that are far from being of good quality (making the analogy with the embryo). Uterine malformations such as a T or Y-shaped uterus can hinder embryo implantation and gestational development. Corrective surgery for these malformations (metroplasty) confers a triangular shape to the uterine cavity, which is considered its normal shape, also improving the outcomes.
