Description
This course provides an overview of the human reproductive system and the main techniques used to diagnose and treat infertility. It begins with the reproductive anatomy and physiology of women and men, reviewing gametogenesis, hormonal regulation, and the phases of the menstrual cycle. It then covers the most common causes of infertility in both sexes and the tests used to assess reproductive health.
The course also introduces assisted reproductive technologies—such as insemination, IVF, ICSI, gamete donation, the ROPA method, and preimplantation genetic testing—along with advanced tools like sperm selection, vitrification, and embryo assessment. Altogether, it offers a clear and up‑to‑date overview of the entire assisted reproduction treatment process and the available options for achieving a pregnancy.
The online course will be carried out through the e-learning platform: IVIRMA Campus. The student will receive a message with the access information and credentials 24/48 hours before the start of the course.
IVIRMA Campus can be accessed from Windows computers (7, 8 or 10) or Mac, using Chrome or Firefox in its last three versions. Access from mobile devices is not supported and does not ensure the correct operation of the course.
Individuals interested in expanding their knowledge of human reproduction and fertility, whether they already have a background in health sciences or are seeking a solid and accessible introduction.
