The agreement signed by the three institutions strengthens a new pillar of excellence in biomedicine and biotechnology in the Valencian Community.
Valencia, February 4, 2026 — The European University of Valencia (UEV), the IVI Foundation, and IVI RMA have formalized a strategic alliance aimed at promoting a new academic and scientific vertical in biomedicine and biotechnology in the Valencian Community, integrating advanced training, specialized teaching, and high‑impact research.
This collaboration reinforces the shared commitment of the three institutions to advancing knowledge in biomedical sciences and training highly qualified professionals in a rapidly expanding field. The agreement will help establish Valencia as a key hub for talent development, biomedical innovation, and applied research.
The agreement includes the joint development of postgraduate programs in biomedical sciences, offered as master’s programs by UEV and designed in collaboration with specialists from the IVI Foundation and IVI RMA. The academic offering includes master’s degrees in applied biotechnology, embryology, genetics, assisted human reproduction, and advanced gynecological surgery.
Additionally, the alliance promotes the development of joint research projects, fostering knowledge transfer, scientific advancement, and the creation of opportunities for young researchers. The agreement also provides for the incorporation of IVI RMA professionals — with outstanding academic and scientific careers and international recognition — into the teaching faculty of the European University of Valencia.
Otilia de la Fuente, President and CEO of the European University, stated during the signing ceremony: “This alliance represents a decisive step forward for the European University of Valencia and for the Valencian Community. The collaboration with the IVI Foundation and IVI RMA will allow us to develop an academic and scientific vertical that will consolidate Valencia as a leading hub in biomedicine and biotechnology.”
Rosa Sanchidrián Pardo, Rector of the European University of Valencia, highlighted: “Our students will be trained by world‑class specialists in programs designed with scientific excellence at their core. This agreement enhances our teaching capacity, strengthens joint research, and moves us closer to a university model fully connected to innovation, science, and the future of healthcare.”
Dr. Nicolás Garrido Puchalt, Director of the IVI Foundation and Research Management at IVI RMA, stated: “With this strategic alliance, we aim to elevate our already well‑established teaching and research programs to a new international level, with UEV as the ideal partner to make it possible. This collaboration will allow us to contribute more effectively to the generation and dissemination of knowledge, while enhancing our clinical and research efforts — ultimately benefiting our patients.”
The agreement between UEV, the IVI Foundation, and IVI RMA extends to the Valencian Community an academic‑scientific collaboration model that has already proven successful in Madrid through the IVI Chair at the European University of Madrid, further strengthening Valencia’s position as a key territory for talent development, biomedical research, and international sector leadership.
“Taking this step with a university that has a clear international projection allows us to support the global expansion of our company and reinforce our commitment to providing benchmark training in our sector. The European University of Valencia offers an innovative teaching environment supported by next‑generation digital platforms, learning analytics systems, and technologies that enable more personalized and connected learning experiences. This alliance will elevate the quality of training and generate new opportunities for our professionals and for talent development in reproductive medicine,” said Miguel Tablado, Global Chief Education Officer at IVI RMA.
